The 7th Conference of Prosecutors-General from China and the ASEAN countries  serves to bring together senior judicial and law enforcement representatives from China and the ASEAN member states in bilateral discussions and exchange on law policies and practices as well as the ever evolving role of the Public Prosecutor in the legal process.

Held over 2 days at the Marina Bay Sands,  Comcepts helped in the supervision of the setup process – which included the turn over of the ballroom from a theatre style seating to a plenary style arrangement during lunchtime on the first day, as well as overseeing the entire programme running to ensure everything was in order  

Singapore Aero Engine Services Private Limited (SAESL) is the only facility in the world to repair and overhaul all in-services variants of the Rolls-Royce Trent engine, including the Trent 900 engine that powers the Airbus 380.

SAESL broke ground for a new two-storey, 12,000 sqm facility extension in Changi, Singapore in 2008 – this new development, to be built with an investment of S$60 million, integrates the existing building and enable growth in SAESL’s component repair capability

For this innovative groundbreaking ceremony, we worked with SAESL’s PR agency, Grayling Global, in conceptualizing a unique approach, where a traditional Malay Silat performer literally “broke ground” by slashing a printed paper backdrop of the undeveloped site with a ceremonial kiris (or sword) – in doing so, we also “unveiled” the new incoming CEO of SAESL, who then proceeded to reveal the new architectural portrait of the new extension over the original image!

The Gas Association of Singapore (GAS) and Power Gas, Singapore jointly hosted the 8^th GAS Information Exchange for the Western Pacific region or GASEX in Singapore. This biennial event is the premier forum dedicated to the gas & gas-related inductries.

Utilising the forum’s theme of ‘Convergence and Connectivity, Comcepts created a unique opening ceremony which showcased how Singapore harmoniously blends culture and technology – working against a blank screen as a backdrop, we created a video montage sequence of specially chosen images to create different settings during the opening ceremony.

Comcepts also managed the Welcome Reception at the Night Safari and the Farewell Dinner for delegates – in the latter, we had local musical talents masquerade as banquet staff, only to run onto stage at various times to perform a surprise number! 

To celebrate the inaugural Formula One Singapore Grand Prix, Johnnie Walker Blue Label hosted an elaborate and grand gala dinner, which was hosted at Eden Hall, a colonial bungalow which is the official residence of the British High Commissioner to Singapore, and also included celebrities such as two time world champion Mika Hakkinen, Taiwanese star Xiao S and Bollywood actresses Mahima Chaudary and Mendira Bedhi, as well as other commercially important guests.

Comcepts looked after every minute detail of the dinner from the guests’ comfort to the theme décor, entertainment and logistics as well as the cuisine for the evening, which was a special Scottish menu prepared by one Michelin star chef Martin Wishart, who was flown in specially from Edinburgh, Scotland for the event.

Inspired by night, designed with sophistication, delivered in black – the exclusive Jet Black Party was conceptualized in 2009 as the premium party in town during the Singapore Grand Prix for Johnnie Walker’s A-list guests. With the perfect blend of internationally celebrated DJs, world class mixologists and held at one of Singapore’s most trendy venues – One on the Bund, guests were treated to the ultimate club experience over the race weekend.

The Jet Black Party was voted “Best Party 2010” by readers of AsiaOne – the internet portal of Singapore Press Holdings, at the AsiaOne People’s Choice Award, which honours the best and most popular brands, products and services from Singapore and the region

TFWA Asia Pacific organised by Tax Free World Association, the world’s biggest duty free and travel retail association, is a trade show which brings together airport owners, duty free buyers and luxury brands.  The Asia Pacific edition complements the main exhibition hosted in Cannes, France.

Comcepts was reappointed by Diageo for the second time, as the project manager for the design and build of their corporate booth when Diageo participated again in this Asia Pacific edition.

The design brief was to ensure that key brands within their luxury category were visible, whilst emphasis was allocated to key brands.  The Johnnie Walker Blue Label Lounge was a dedicated showcase, where the brand ambassador was on-hand to introduce the new collection and tasting session.  Dedicated displays also showcased Diageo’s World Class Collection and Shui Jing Fang range of alcohol brands.

In addition, a World Class Bar was helmed by Singapore’s own World Class champion from 2010, showcasing bespoke cocktails using alcohol brands from Diageo’s World Class Collection

SAESL officially opened its new two-storey 12,000sqm facility extension in Changi, Singapore in February 2010. A new development with an investment of S$60 million, this facility enables SAESL to increase overhaul output by 25 percent, or up to 250 engines per year.

As a rousing opening to the formal ceremony, the SAESL percussion performers (comprising of their own employees) welcomed the Ministerial party. An equally auspicious conclusion of the ceremony, was a traditional Lion Dance performance complete with daring stunts to usher in good luck and prosperity for the new facility.

We helped our client at the Public Service Commission to oversee the design and setup as well as the running of the annual PSC Scholarships Ceremony in the years 2006 to 2009. In this event, Singapore’s young and brightest academics are awarded with scholarships to study both domestically and abroad, in preparation for future service to the nation as part of the Civil Service. We honour the young men and women and their achievements by ensuring that the event ran smoothly and will be remembered in years to come

ICON plc, a global provider of outsourced development services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical devices industries, moved its Singapore central laboratory to a new larger 9,000 sqft facility.  This new facility also serves as the regional hub for drug development in Asia-Pacific.

Attended by key management  representatives from the ICON headquarters and Singapore Economic Development  Board, this celebratory event also marked its tenth year of operation in Singapore.

Subsequently in 2010, Comcepts was appointed as the project manager for the opening ceremony of ICON’s most recent Asian facility in Tianjin, China.

Not every day that we get to come up close and personal with the 2009 Formula One World Champion, Jenson Button. The charismatic number 1 Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver took time to meet up with fans and media at the Conrad. Hosted by ESPN Star Sport’s Paula Malai Ali, it was a light hearted event with its share of fun and laughs, as Jenson spoke about his beginnings as a race car driver to where he is today and was offered some local snack items to sample!
