Having decided to pursue his education and since graduating from a well-known hotel management school in Switzerland, Roger found his passion for service at a very young age.

Together with Craig and Alex, created what is now known as simply Comcepts in 1999. Their partnership saw a level of combined experience which is close to 40 years!

Beginning his career at the Food & Beverage department of a prestigious 5-star hotel in Singapore, Roger moved on to a large & established events & design company, where he learnt the ropes of organising and conceptualising corporate events. A defining career move that brought many exciting opportunities to work with many different organisations spanning a wide spectrum of industries, both corporate and government sectors. A key highlight of particular significance was his initial experiences with the planning & execution of certain components of the APEC TELMIN 3 within 3 months, an event that saw an attendance of 25 foreign ministers & 400 international delegates.

A man with staunch beliefs in delivering only the best and most presentable to his clients, Roger is most particular about fine details. He overlooks nothing, he sees all. In his free time, Roger enjoys reading publications on the latest developments in the events industry, attending international conventions on global retail trade & design. He seeks to keep himself abreast of this industry he is so passionate about. He also enjoys cooking, dining and wine.

Craig was schoolmates with Roger during their stint studying at the same prestigious hospitality school in Switzerland. Ever since then, he has been actively involved in the hospitality industry, having worked in boutique restaurants & being instrumental in the concept development and implementation of various independent Food & Beverage outlets.

Imposing and sure by stature, what belies him is a kind-hearted, comical and eager character with strong beliefs and interpersonal skills. Such strengths has helped him in his workings with clients from sectors as varied as corporate and government, effectively and efficiently conceptualising & managing events of different magnitude & scale.

Craig has headed some of the team’s largest and most prolific projects to-date, including Johnnie Walker’s sponsorship participation in the inaugural FORMULA 1 Singapore Grand Prix in 2008 till present.  He has also personally assisted clients such as Diageo, the Public Service Commission, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority, Philips and Capitaland, amongst many others, on many of their high profiled events.

Alex, along with Craig and Roger, is one of the founding partners of Comcepts.

A man of few words, but a steady & assuring presence, Alex heads & oversees all operational, logistical & production elements of every project, playing a major supporting role, of which without him we would not have been able to build the esteem we enjoy today. Alex’s cool demeanour & dexterity sees its beginning in the initial years of his professional career with Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (now known as Mediacorp), in their props design and production department. He was actively involved in the set design & fabrication of many of their landmark productions. Subsequently, he moved onto a major event company, playing a key role in their operations department.

Alex’s calm composure masks a depth of warmth & concern for all, especially his team and colleagues, making him most approachable and friendly, a trait all our clients and associates who have worked with him finds most appreciative.

His expertise and his person are instrumental in ensuring that our concepts are turned into reality for our events.

Mei Yuan graduated in Mass Communication from University of East London and started her career with Comcepts in 2007 as an intern, from which she learnt the intricate processes in events planning & execution from the many varied projects the team was involved in she has since risen to Associate Account Director and heads our office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia,  providing and maintaining the same level of professionalism, efficiency and dynamism that Comcepts has built in Singapore

An effective team player, Mei Yuan has shown immense independence & determination in her work & endeavours. A lady of strong spirit, she has shown her ability to hold her own, when in 2009, she took on a larger role in the planning and execution of the Johnnie Walker sponsorship programme in the FORMULA 1 Singapore Grand Prix, where she was in charge of the project team coordinating hospitality arrangements for all guests attending.

Upon her graduation from Temasek Polytechnic in 2008, Rechel assisted Comcepts in hospitality management for Johnnie Walker during the first FORMULA 1 night race in Singapore. In 2009, she joined the team permanently and was assigned to be dedicated full time at Diageo’s office as part of the Asia Pacific Sponsorship team. Having reverted back to our main office, Rechel has since progressed on to take up larger responsibilities in her workings with Diageo.

Although being one of the younger members of the group, she has displayed professionalism and confidence beyond her years. She was chosen to assist in large scale projects such as the Smirnoff Sponsorship for Manchester United Football Club and was given the opportunity to travel to England. Calm and composed, she is a team player and a joy to work with.

George has worked with Comcepts since 2005, when he first started his career as our in-house designer. Originally trained in product design, he has participated in different processes which included graphic, props and ambience design to actual realisation during the lead-in to the event.

7 years and many adventures later which included a stint as Senior Designer, he now works within the account servicing team, combining the strengths of both creative and suit to better cater to and understand his clients’ events needs and to connect with them as well.

Joel was an active member of our pool of part timers and support staff until he joined us full time as a logistics coordinator in 2012, helping to manage the various equipment, stores and props in our “arsenal” (our store) he also serves to assist the project leaders in the day to day and play by play running of the events that we do

Jonas is in charge of 3D and graphic design for our projects. He works very closely with our operations colleague, Alex, as their in-progress works are inter-related.

He joined us in 2012 and works on the 3D Studio Max, Adobe Freehand, Illustrator and Photoshop platforms.

Cat, as part of our in-house design team, supports the team with graphic design for our projects and works closely with both Jonas and reports to Alex.

She joined us in 2010, with her varied professional background in product, graphic and event design. Her professional education was in multimedia technology from Singapore Polytechnic, before embarking on a career in various firms as a designer.

Despite her years of experience in the working world, Cat has proven her worth here at Comcepts as an energetic, vibrant and comical character, her creative spirit still providing fresh perspectives that clients have come to appreciate
